Ramblings of a Young Man

Just me and my thoughts as I go through this thing called life

So I finally got my hands on the much anticipated new comic book series by Image called Peter Panzerfaust. It is the classic Peter Pan story except Peter is a young man leading a group of orphans out of occupied Nazi territory during WWII. This comic is great and I HIGHLY recommend to fans of good stories and anyone that fondly remembers Peter Pan. Peter is a great leader with confidence bordering on recklessness. The lost boys do their part, Peter doesn’t completely steal the show. Captain Hook is there, as Kapitan Haken, a Nazi SS Captain. The first time Peter and Haken crossed blades I got chills. The bullets fly in this comic and the blood is there. I wouldn’t offer this to kids. The art is beautiful and dramatic. The visuals in it are breath taking. So far it has been a fun read with tons of nods to the original legend.

Check it out.
